Initiative overview

Launched in 2024, the AIDIG project supports the systematic integration of digital skills and emerging technologies in Czech schools. It:

  • Implements the DigCompEdu framework to enhance teachers’ digital competencies.
  • Focuses on emerging digital technologies — including AI, cybersecurity, digital well-being, and financial and media literacy — to prepare students for the demands of a modern, digital society.
  • Trains teachers to pass on advanced IT and digital skills to students, helping them develop critical thinking and responsible technology use.
  • Is funded by the National Recovery Plan under NPO 3.1, ensuring alignment with national and EU priorities in digital transformation.

By improving the capacity of teachers to use and teach digital technologies, the AIDIG project strengthens the digital readiness of students and contributes to the long-term development of digital education in the Czech Republic.
