Within the general objective of promoting the consolidation of the professional career of researchers in any thematic area, this call specifically promotes the consolidation of people whose field of research is framed within a strategic theme related to either AI or microelectronics and semiconductors.

Initiative overview

The promotion of the consolidation of researchers' professional careers, encouraging the creation of permanent positions within their host institutions and supporting the start or strengthening of a research line through the funding of an individual R&D&I project, as well as the adaptation and renovation of spaces and laboratories and the improvement of equipment necessary for its implementation.

Within the general objective of promoting the professional career consolidation of researchers in any thematic area, this call specifically supports the consolidation of researchers whose field of study falls within a strategic area related to either Artificial Intelligence (AI) or microelectronics and semiconductors (Chips), for which an additional budget will be allocated.

The eligible activities under this initiative include:

a) An incentive for the creation of a permanent position in the principal investigator’s area of expertise, if applicable.

b) The implementation of an individual R&D&I project led by the principal investigator.

c) The adaptation of spaces, renovation of laboratories, and improvement of equipment necessary to launch or strengthen the principal investigator’s research line.
