Initiative overview

The Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027 (EECTI 2021-2027) is the basic instrument for consolidating and reinforcing the Science, Technology and Innovation System (SECTI). The EECTI 2021-2027 is specifically designed to facilitate the articulation of Spanish R&D&I policy with the policies of the European Union, taking into account the regulations approved or in progress, in order to make the best possible use of the synergies between programmes. This strategy adds elements that also aim to promote maximum coordination between State and Autonomous Community planning and programming.The initiative has the following objectives:To strengthen public-private collaboration.To promote knowledge transfer.To guarantee the application of the principle of real equality between women and men in R&D and innovation.To improve the situation of research personnel and institutions, enhancing Spain's capacity to attract, recover and retain talent.
