The Ministry of Digital Transformation is planning to introduce AI-based predictive analytics into the Business intelligence system Skrinja (‘box’), which is used by different public authorities to analyse data about their policy area, like public sector salaries, public tenders and administrative procedures, supporting data-driven decisions in real time in public administration.

Initiative overview

Slovenia’s Ministry of Digital Transformation is preparing to expand the country’s central business intelligence system, Skrinja, by integrating AI-driven predictive analytics. Skrinja already serves as a platform for public authorities to analyse data on areas such as public sector salaries, tenders, and administrative processes, helping improve oversight and efficiency. The planned upgrade seeks to move beyond descriptive analysis and enable real-time, forward-looking insights to support more effective, data-driven decision-making across public administration.
