New Supercomputer

National Artificial Intelligence Centers

Data Public Innovation Center
The Digital Public Innovation Center is an initiative from the ICT Ministry that uses innovation methods to stimulate the use of technology (including AI) to boost the digital transformation of the State. Our goal is to foster the generation of new citizen services based on AI and help public innovators to generate public value through the use and implementation of AI solutions.
AI.GOV Website
The Presidency of the Republic of Colombia has spearheaded and developed the first Colombian government-oriented AI website. The webpage allows for the consolidation of the Colombian's Government commitment to the implementation of an active and trustworthy AI ecosystem for the advancement of the country's AI agenda. The website can be found both in Spanish and English.
Strategic Plan for Knowledge Transfer in AI
This initiative is a plan to promote the transfer of knowledge in AI in the scientific sector, for Colombia to surpasse the world technological frontier. The plan establishes the steps for technical “ scientific knowledge to be adapted by the countrys companies and become an input to the AI market.
Law for the Promotion of AI Technology and Entrepreneurship
The purpose of this Law is to establish a regulatory framework that encourages entrepreneurship, as well as the growth, consolidation, and sustainability of companies, to increase social welfare and generate equality. The framework is designed to be implemented through a regionalized approach in accordance with the socioeconomic realities of each region.
Cybersecurity Policy for AI Deployment

Dashboard for the Implementation of AI Ethical Principles
The Dashboard for monitoring the Ethical Framework for Artificial Intelligence provides an overview of AI projects from public entities and how they are implementing ethical principles and tools in their projects. Entities will need to report: the tools they are using to implement ethical principles, how they are insuring non - discrimination, and an analysis from ethical risks in the project and the mechanisms to mitigate them.

National Policy on Artificial Intelligence (CONPES 4144)
This initiative aims to maximize the capabilities for research, development, adoption and ethical and sustainable use of AI systems in strategic social, economic and environmental issues in Colombia.
AI Task Force
The Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, with the support of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), is working towards the design and implementation of a task force for AI in Colombia. This Task Force will be in charge of fostering the implementation of AI Policy. It will also promote and facilitate the use of AI in the public sector. The Presidency of the Republic is launching a website presenting the AI Project and its work.
AI Expert Mission
The Artificial Intelligence Expert Mission consists of a group of experts who will meet periodically to evaluate the different dimensions of AI and produce concrete recommendations in the short, medium and long term. The Mission is necessary as a mechanism to establish a prospective roadmap to achieve the implementation of an AI Policy based on the technical and integral vision of the experts to complement and guide the path that Colombia is advancing in this regard.
Technology committee within the framework of the National System of Competitiveness and Innovation.
Through Decree 2212 of 2023, the organization and operation of the National Competitiveness and Innovation System (SNCI) was adjusted. The Technology Committee, through an action plan, facilitates the implementation and application of public policies on productivity, competitiveness, and innovation. The committee addresses topics of a transversal and non-specific sector-specific nature that impact competitiveness and innovation to drive, guide, and generate initiatives for decision-making.
