France counts 16 EDIHs with many of those focused on AI. In addition, regional and local AI networks have developed:
• Cité de l’IA : Based in the Hauts-de-France region. Aimed at creating a network and raising awareness among entrepreneurs and business executives on the benefits of AI and on opportunities to launch projects. Physical and virtual events (e.g. conferences, workshops) organised. A training certification for “AI project manager” roles is under development.
• Maison de l’Intelligence Artificielle: Based in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region, and similar to Cité de l’IA. The main objective is also the acculturation of the public with a focus here not only on companies but also on young students.
