Digital Czech Republic is a national strategy that supports the country's transition to the digital age. It focuses on digital public services, education, the economy, and cooperation within the EU. The initiative aims to improve digital skills, modernize public administration, and boost economic growth through digital technologies.

Initiative overview

The digitalisation strategy of the Czech Republic covers three different levels: (i) Czech Republics approach towards the EU digital agenda, (ii) further development of e-Government, and (iii) the digitalisation of the economy and society and (iv) digital skills development and training of experts in the area of ICT (in relation to the priorities on European level)..It is a set of concepts that create the conditions for the long-term prosperity of the Czech Republic. Its content can be defined as follows: Strategy of Coordinated and Comprehensive Digitalisation of the Czech Republic 2018+.Under the 2020 update of the strategy a specific goal focusing on AI was added "Profiling of the Czech Republic as a country supporting the development of artificial intelligence". The timeline is in the range of 1-10 years, depends on the specific project. Activities concerning Digital Czechia Strategy and its implementation are shared among many platforms: - Website for the umbrella Innovation Strategy https://www.countryforfuture.com/en/pilir/digitalization/- twitter account (@digiczech, @country4future)- newsletter "Czech Republic in the Digital Europe"- conferences, seminars and other events. The Government Council for Information Society has regular plenary sessions involving experts from the government bodies, stakeholders from civil society and businesses (Confederation of Industry and Transport, Chamber of Commerce, Association of Regions, etc.). The European Digital Innovation Hubs is a concept launched within the Digital Europe Program. The goal of the centers will be to help transfer new technologies from the research to the market use. Each MS will have several eDIHs, CZ will have 6-8 that will be cofinanced from the EU funds.
