Initiative overview
Slovenia adopted National AI plan (NpUI) in May 2021, which envisaged proper governance structure for effective implementation. The implementation is led by inter-ministerial gropup at the level of state secretaries that enables efficient monitoring, decision making and refining implementation of the NpUI measures.The initiative has the following objectives:- Guides and monitors the implementation of actions to achieve the strategic objectives of the NpUI;implementation of the NpUI (e.g. at the level of strategic objectives or actions);- provide suggestions and guidance to improve stakeholders' involvement in the implemenation of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Slovenia;- approve the establishment of sectoral working groups appointed by the Ministries for implementation specific actions, addressing specific horizontal problem areas or areas of- monitor the work of the sectoral working groups and guide their work through preparing opinions and proposals;- ensure coordinated and continuous inter-ministerial cooperation in planning and the implementation of the actions.- assess the progress of the implementation of the actions led and implemented by the ministries and propose changes to the measures, their implementation or the implementing instruments for the implementation:- proposing financial resources for the implementation of the individual actions of the NpUI;
