France’s AI Demonstrators initiatives (DIAC and DIAT) support the development and testing of trusted and applied AI technologies. They fund projects that demonstrate AI in real-world settings across healthcare, mobility, industry, energy, and critical infrastructure. The programmes aim to strengthen the position of French AI companies and accelerate the adoption of AI in society and the economy.

The PRISSMA Project develops a platform for the safety and security of autonomous mobility. It focuses on validating automated road transport systems, including AI components, to ensure safe operation. The project is part of an AI Challenge organised by the Innovation and Industry Fund.

In 2019, ministers from France and Germany formally launched Gaia-X, an EU cloud initiative that aims to establish an interoperable data exchange through which businesses can share data under the protection of European laws.
