Use of AI in Business Intelligence System - Skrinja
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is planning to introduce AI-based predictive analytics into the Business intelligence system Skrinja (‘box’), which is used by different public authorities to analyse data about their policy area, like public sector salaries, public tenders and administrative procedures, supporting data-driven decisions in real time in public administration.

Diia AI Assistant
Ukraine has launched Diia.AI on the Diia portal — the world’s first national AI agent that not only answers questions but also delivers government services directly in chat. For example, a user may request an income certificate and receive it instantly in their account with email notification. The initiative simplifies access, removes the need for forms or visits, ensures 24/7 availability, and aims to place Ukraine among leaders in public-sector AI.
Digitalised Yellow Book
AI-driven project to digitise handwritten complaint reports in the public administration’s Yellow Book, aiming to reduce processing time, enhance evaluation standards, and extend electronic support for complaints. The Yellow Book (Livro Amarelo) is a public administration tool that allows citizens to submit complaints, suggestions, and compliments regarding public services. It serves as a formal channel for feedback, helping to improve the quality and accountability of public administration.
Swiss Latvian Cooperation Programme – Pre-defined Programme Component in ICT and Smart Energy
The Swiss–Latvian Cooperation Programme supports research and innovation in smart grids and energy storage. AI-enabled tools will be developed for real-time stability assessment of the Baltic electricity grid, alongside improved materials for energy storage and hydrogen production. The initiative involves national research institutions, led by the Institute of Solid-State Physics at the University of Latvia.
Creation of a hybrid cloud to combine registers such as AJPES register
This project aims to create a hybrid cloud that will combine registers such as the AJPES register, the register of the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia and, for example, court registers, with the aim of simplifying procedures for businesses in relation to the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
Government assignment to 25 Swedish national authorities to report on their use of AI
The Government has decided to assign 25 national authorities to report on their use of AI. The assignment includes reporting on what collaborations exist with other authorities and what training or other competence-enhancing initiatives have been offered to the staff. The authorities must also report on the challenges linked to ethics, regulation and security.
3VisionD
3VisionD is an AI-powered video analytics system that detects objects and determines their locations in real-world 3D coordinates. It supports smart city applications such as traffic and parking management, urban planning, and harbour monitoring. The system enables automated parking violation detection, occupancy tracking, and adaptive street lighting based on real-time data.
Proloog Mobilidata 2
The Proloog Mobilidata 2 programme supports development of mobility technologies including remote driving. In spring 2024, it held a “Remote Driving Test Week” to evaluate safety, efficiency, and real-world feasibility. The initiative is designed to test advanced vehicle operation under actual conditions.
AI Directory
The project aimed to create a comprehensive overview of all AI systems used in federal public administration in 2023. The survey data will help identify challenges and risks related to AI in the public sector. Over five months, 31 AI-related projects were identified across various ministries: 17 operational AI systems, 10 AI research projects, 3 chatbots, and 1 guideline for AI in public administration. This project also serves as preparatory work for the AI Map (KI-Landkarte) initiative.
BikeSafeAI
The BikeSafeAI project uses AI to analyse cyclist behaviour and traffic conditions to identify risky situations. It aims to reduce accidents and improve safety for cyclists in urban and regional settings. The project is a collaboration between multiple universities, government bodies, and mobility organisations in the Netherlands.

The A12 Traffic Forecaster is a machine learning-based application that predicts traffic levels on the A12 motorway. It combines historical data, roadwork schedules, and holiday periods to deliver real-time updates. This helps commuters plan their journeys more efficiently and avoid congestion.

The Berufsinfomat uses the possibities of GenAI (LLM) to inform the public and interested parties about job profiles, education and trainings. Due its nature it allows to access information in several languages with questions and answers which otherwise would be spread over three databases and in German only. It's available for everyone with internet access and of course for all employees of the AMS itself.
